Register for the Centralparks Final Conference now!

Dear Carpathian community,

The Centralparks Final Conference, celebrating the successful conclusion of the project, is around the corner. The international event will take place from the 23rd to the 24th of March 2022 in Wieliczka, Poland and online under the title 'Transnational cooperation for the sustainable future of the Carpathian region'. The registration for online participation is still open until the 18th of March!

The conference aims at presenting the Carpathian region as an innovative space for transnational cooperation, able to bridge its checkered history with the sustainable perspectives and opportunities of the future. Building on the strategic issues of the Centralparks project, such as fostering biodiversity and landscape conservation together with sustainable development in the Carpathian region, the international conference will be a forum for discussing the multifarious results of the last three years of international cooperation within Centralparks. Furthermore, this will be the perfect moment for presenting the future perspectives for the Carpathian region of Centralparks.

Furthermore, on the second day, a thematic workshop will provide a platform to exchange successful European project experiences related to the sustainable development of the Carpathians, involving the projects SaveGREEN, DinAlpCONNECT, ConnectGREEN and BEECH POWER. Within a dedicated round table, five European Protected Area networks (Carpathian Network of Protected Areas, DANUBEPARKS, ALPARC, Parks Dinarides and the Carpathian Wetland Initiative) will share their experiences on effective protected areas management in the Carpathians and beyond.

The event is free of charge and open to all interested participants - secure your spot and register online until 18th of March!

After registration, participants interested in online attendance will receive further steps on how to join remotely.
